Leisure Buddies

Inclusion Melbourne is expanding our highly regarded Leisure Buddies respite program, opening it up to residents in the East and South East.

Leisure Buddies links people with a disability and volunteers based on their mutual interests and shared location. This program was founded in the 1990s because of Inclusion Melbourne’s belief that everyone should have someone in their life who isn’t paid to be there.

Leisure Buddies are people who volunteer to support a person with a disability to do the things both of them enjoy. This could be going to the movies, gardening or cooking, going to a football game, or just grabbing a coffee together.
